Program: Learning about the Charm of "Hokusai Manga" & AfternoonTea
At the first Meeting 2019-2020 of the Tokyo Women's Club, the report on final accounts for the season 2018-2019 by the former treasurer Ms. Fuse was followed by a lecture on the charm of "Hokusai Manga," a popular series of picture books by Katsushika Hokusai, covering a wide range of subjects as if it were a visual encyclopedia. We welcomed Mr. Mitsuru Uragami, who is famous for the best collector of "Hokusai Manga" in the world as a speaker. Mr. Uragami showed us two real "Hokusai Manga" books. We were deeply attracted to many charms of "Hokusai Manga."
Our honorary member Mme. Kaire Jürgenson, spouse of Ambassador of Estonia, proposed a toast. We also enjoyed self-introduction. In spite of the next day of typhoon, there were forty-five attendees in all.
