Autumn Luncheon with Music of Debussy by Ms. Noriko Ogawa
At October Meeting of the Tokyo Women's Club, we welcomed Ms. Noriko Ogawa who has achieved considerable renown throughout the world as a fine Debussy specialist from London. She selected really the nicest program for us, including “Clair de Lune.” Her beautiful, strong, and delicate performance moved us deeply. Her talk was definitely interesting, as if it were a lecture on the history of music. There was much clapping heard and she played an encore "Je Te Veux" composed by Satie.
We were honored that Mme. Amira Bencherif, spouse of Ambassador of Algeria, proposed a toast. Thirty-nine attendees, including Ms. Chikako Sekiba, Honorary Professor of University of the sacred Heart, enjoyed a luxurious lunch.
The Tokyo Women's Club presented a bouquet to the Grand Chef Mr. Nobuhiko Fukuda who was awarded the Officier by France to celebrate it and express our sincere appreciation.
