Program: Learning the History and Culture of Bulgaria, Focusing on the Rose Festival
The members of the Tokyo Women’s Club were honored to be invited to the Ambassador’s Residence of Bulgaria. Mme. Manya Kostva, spouse of Ambassador of Bulgaria, warmly welcomed us at the door, and H.E. Mr. Borislav Kostov, Ambassador of Bulgaria, made an opening address to us. A young diplomat, Mr. Mihail Piryankov, talked in full of humor about Bulgaria, including the Rose Festival, which made us feel closer to the country.
The Bulgarian buffet lunch with Bulgarian wine was absolutely gorgeous.
The whole Embassy, including Ms. Arabadjieva, Ms. Buserska, and Ms. Aoki, gave us a hearty welcome.
The roses were beautiful at the garden. There were 59 attendees in all.
