The Tokyo Women's Club hosted the annual Lady Ambassadors’ Talk Session. The theme 2019 just before Tokyo 2020 is “Sports.” The speakers were H.E. Mrs. Martha Lidia Zelayandia, Ambassador of El Salvador, Ms. Irit Savion Waidergorn, Minister / Deputy Chief of Mission of Israel, Professor Haruko Hirose, former Japanese Ambassador to Morocco, H.E. Lady Tania Laumanulupe Tupou, Ambassador of Tonga, and H.E. Mrs. Ndiyoi Muliwana Mutiti, Ambassador of Zambia.
They talked about sports children learn at school, sports or exercise Ambassadors enjoy, their memories about the Olympics, medalists from their countries in the past Olympics, athletes or sports they expect in the Tokyo 2020, and their host towns for the Tokyo 2020.
The conclusion they derived from the talk session was that sports break barriers. It also deepened our understanding of their countries.
