Program: Christmas Gospel Concert & Luncheon
The Tokyo Women's Club held a Christmas concert for December Meeting. We enjoyed a variety of songs from opera to gospel.
Mr. David Duckshin Choe, Mr. Claudio Jung, and Ms. Lim Jungsook sang with the piano played by Ms. Lee Hyunjoo, who came all from Korea.
Mr. Omokaro Andrew sang to his own piano accompaniment and Mr. Ngongo's saxophone.
The concert was followed by the presentation ceremony. TWC presented donations to Ms. Naoko Asai of “World Food Program of UN,” and Mr. Shuji Okawa of KidsFarm Foundation.
Mme. Wided Darragi, wife of the Tunisian Ambassador, proposed a toast for a Christmas Luncheon.
We were honored to have a large attendance of wives of ambassadors/chargés d'affairs/consuls and secretaries of embassies -- Mme. Maali Siam from Palestine, Mme. Jamila Suwaidi from Qatar, Mme. Marlise Vohekeni from Angola, Mme. Beatrice Correa do Lago from Brazil, Mme. Alice Parker-Allotey from Ghana, Mme. Wided Darragi from Tunisia, Mme. Ilda Esteves from Portugal, Mme. Ayana Hatada Diaz from Panama, Mme. Jamila Al-gnaid from Yemen, Mme. Fatiha Bennai from Morocco, Mme. Simuang Sundara and Ms. Oulapssone from Laos, Mme. Maria Amparo Barberis from Ecuador, Mme. Lui Soo Fen from Singapore, Mme. Alexandra Tomasikova from Slovakia, Mme. Laura Hygnanga from Gabon, Mme. Sakai Noriko and Mme. Anna Moriss from Australia. There were 108 attendees in all.
