H.E. Mrs. Rabab Fatima, Ambassador of Bangladesh, kindly hosted for 61 members of The Tokyo Women's Club at her very beautiful modern embassy. It was a great opportunity to learn about Bangladesh's fascinating culture. We were amazed at how much the country has changed. It is a leading country in women empowerment.
Mr. Md. Belal Hossain, second secretary, and the other staff of the embassy welcomed us warmly as well.
We also enjoyed the flavor of Bangladesh cuisine. All three kinds of curry -- chicken, beef, and egg -- and mishti like rice-cake sweets were very good.
Leather goods, which is a major industry in Bangladesh, were given to us as a souvenir.
